Welcome to the Online H.B.Com Program!

You will find below, information that will help you get started in the Laurentian University online H.B.Com program.  If you have any questions or concerns, our helpful staff is willing to assist you.  See the “Support Services” tab on the left for contact information.

Laurentian University Letter of Offer

The first point of contact with Laurentian University will be the letter of offer which will arrive by mail.  The letter of offer informs you of your acceptance to the Laurentian University online H.B.Com program.  The letter will include:

  1. The term that you have been admitted to: Fall (Session 1), Winter (Session 2), Spring (Session 3) or Summer (Session 4);

  2. The “Degree Requirements Form” which provides you with your LU student identification number (top of the page) and highlights the courses that you are required to take in order to complete your H.B.Com; and

  3. Response letter that must be returned to LU by fax, mail or by e-mail to admissions@laurentian.ca.

LU Degree Requirements Form

The “Degree Requirements Form” is your road map to your degree.  This is a very important document that must be closely examined and understood.  All courses that have an “X” on the form must be completed in order to receive your degree.  This may include CGA Level 4 and PACE electives, LU business courses and additional requirements.

LU will update your transcript with completed CGA Level 4 and PACE electives ONLY when you apply to graduate and your CGA Provincial/Territorial office provides LU with an updated transcript.  LU will not provide an updated “Degree Requirements Form” when CGA Level 4 or PACE elective courses are completed.

If your form indicates the need to complete additional credits (3 to 12 credits), please refer to our guide on “additional requirements” which is located on the left hand navigation bar of this website.  This guide will provide you with several options to fulfill your H.B.Com degree requirements.

LU Business Course Enrollment Information

Once accepted into the program, you have up to one year to take your first course.  Although you are encouraged to enroll in a course during the first session that you are admitted, we understand that work and personal commitments often make it difficult to do so.

Enrollments in LU business courses are completed through your CGA Provincial/Territorial office.  Often, the same process utilized to enroll for CGA courses is employed for LU business courses.  If you are unsure of where to find an enrollment form or web page, please contact your Provincial/Territorial office for enrollment information.

All course offerings, start dates, enrollment and withdrawal deadlines are posted on this website.

Course Materials and Access to the Learning Management System

Once enrolled in a course, your CGA Provincial/Territorial office will forward your course materials directly to you.
