D2L Monthly System Maintenance:

Please be advised that the Desire2Learn Hosting Facility performs scheduled server maintenance between 1:00 AM and 7:00 AM Eastern Time on the 2nd Sunday of every month. During this time, the system may not be available; if so please try to access the site again at 7:01 Eastern Time or shortly thereafter. If you have any questions, please send us an email.

Beginning in Session 1, 2011, all LU H.B.Com students will be required to access their LU Business Courses through the D2L online learning environment.

Please read the information contained on this page to access D2L.

Accessing D2L

The instructions to access D2L varies depending on your status in the online H.B.Com program.  Please select the category that describes your current status and then follow the instructions provided.

Current students

Do any of the following situations apply to you?

• I completed at least one LU business course;

• I am currently completing a LU business course; or

• I was accepted to the LU H.B.Com program prior to May 2011;

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, then please follow the “Current students” instructions to access the LU D2L system.

New students

Were you accepted to the LU H.B.Com program after June 1, 2011?

If you answered yes to the above question, then please follow the “New students” instructions to access the LU D2L system.

A Quick Introduction to D2L

The D2L “Home” page contains several sections called “widgets” that include relevant information to successfully complete your courses at LU. More information on each section is available following the “Home” page image.

My Settings:

The D2L environment can be customized to better meet your personal needs.  In this area, you can review each option to better meet your needs.  A great tool that is only accessible to students enrolled in your classes, will be the personal profile where you can upload your photo and post information that you're willing to share with your team and classmates.

New Activity:

Notifications of new e-mails, postings or other relevant activities will be indicated in this area.

LU Resources:

Important links to LU resources such as the Library are included in this area.

News:

Information regarding D2L availability and program related issues will be posted in this area.

My Courses:

Includes the list of courses that you are enrolled in.

Please be advised that access to LU courses (content only) has been amended from previous sessions. As of August 2012, access to LU courses (content only) will be available for viewing up to three weeks prior to the course start date. Students who enroll for a course less than three weeks prior to the course start date will have viewing access to the course material beginning on the Tuesday following the enrollment date.

On the Friday prior to the official course start date, students will gain access to the "Assignment/Group Work" section for their course (beginning at 12 pm Eastern / 9 am Pacific) where course interaction, official course schedule, and instructor access is available.
